PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Quality Assurance Leader has the primary responsibility to assure that client has an effective quality management system that allows for safe, effective, and compliant production of medium power transformers in conformance to industry guidelines, customer specifications, and internal processes.
Development of quality manual that provide for ISO 9001-2015 certification Development of effective internal quality process, standard process, and manufacturing processes Development of tollgate, inspection, and operator checklistsDevelopment of effective product test programDevelopment of supplier quality programAssurance of appropriate material specification and design validation programs.
Maintain an effective nonconformance reporting system for both production rework and associated materials, and purchased materialsMaintain an effective Field Defect reporting system as well as a corrective Action and internal audit system that supports the continuous improvement processMaintain an effective PAR and CAR processResponsible for ISO Quality Management Program.
Manages the development, maintenance and enhancement of the ISO system.Directs the maintenance and audits of the supporting documentation and internal systems supporting ISO requirementsPrepares annual department budgets and quality objectives.
Controls costs within approved budget levels.Responsible for internal & external cost of poor quality, scrap and budget costs.
Directs quality studies of production methods, procedures, processes, materials, purchased components, prototypes and new products as required.
Leads root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action formulation and auditing of implementation / institutionalization.
Operates as quality champion and primary contact for customer and supplier quality issues.Directs the quality aspect of new supplier approval and existing supplier performance.
Leads the major in house and field failure analysis process, documentation, and customer communication and presentation.Provides data and data analysis for weekly / monthly / annual business reporting as well as customer presentations.
Acts as the point of contact for customer visits, witnesses, and audits.Has the responsibility summit and follow up to closure the environmental compliance applicable to the site.
