Arnot Ogden Medical Center has an immediate, critical need for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the small Pediatric Department (4C) for a long-term night assignment. This position is essential to replace a traveler who had to leave their contract and requires a PALS-certified nurse who can manage a general Medical-Surgical patient population within a specialized pediatric setting.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
Patient Care : Provide comprehensive nursing care to a general Med / Surg patient type within the dedicated Pediatric Department.Clinical Expertise : Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of pediatric patients, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.Small Unit Focus : Adapt quickly and function effectively within a small Pediatric department environment.Collaboration : Work as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure safe patient hand-offs between shifts.Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, medications, and responses in the electronic medical record.Required Qualifications & Certifications
Experience : A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse is required.Specialty Certification : PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is mandatory for this role.Licensure : Current New York State (NYS) RN License is required.Skills : Experience caring for a general Pediatric Medical / Surgical patient population is necessary.Order # : ARN-21838 \n
