About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour Nights, Weekends as needed, First to Float Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year License : RN License required Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : One year of experience required Job Description : Provide direct care to residents in a nursing home with 35 beds / residents.
- Administer care for patients with conditions such as HIV / AIDS, ALS, Huntington's disease, cancer, behavioral issues including dementia, schizophrenia, anxiety, dementia, and end-of-life diagnoses.
- Perform duties that include managing IVs and titratable drips.- Work with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists (OT), speech-language pathologists (SLP), care managers, social workers, dietitians, and a recreation therapist.
- Shift schedule is consistent with designated days but varies according to facility needs; schedules are sent to staff 6 weeks in advance.
- Upkeep and management of medical equipment and supplies; no RT on-site 24 / 7 but oxygen therapy through nasal cannula provided.
- Comply with all necessary safety protocols including the use of PAPR or N95 masks.- Participate in unit-specific orientation across all nursing home wings : 2E, 2W, 3E, 3W.
- Required to float among all nursing home wings within the facility as needed.- Follow the facility's dress code; RNs may wear any nursing scrub.
