An inpatient adult psychiatric facility is seeking a Mental Health Registered Nurse to join their team.

Duties of RNs are not limited to the following :
- Provide general nursing care in a behavioral health setting
- Assessing the patient's physical needs
- Checking and transcribing physician's orders in a timely manner
- Medication administration
- Admission, discharge, and transfer of patients based on physician orders
- Assisting with procedures and physical exams
- Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
- Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patient's medical record
- Supervising non-professional nursing staff
- Collecting vital sign, drawing blood, etc.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements :
- License and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
- 1 year of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting
Preferred :
- 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting
