VP of Software Engineering GenAI Expertise Required

Their mission is to create innovative tools that make education personalized, accessible, and engaging for students and educators alike.
They’ve recently secured Series A funding and are now looking for an exceptional VP of Software Engineering to drive the development of their AI-powered educational platform.
Position Summary :
As their VP of Software Engineering , you will lead a team of talented engineers in developing and scaling AI-driven solutions that redefine learning.
This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in Generative AI systems and fine-tuning and a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable AI products.
You’ll set the vision and strategy for their technical direction, ensure engineering excellence, and play a key role in shaping the future of education technology.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Strategy : Set and drive the engineering vision, ensuring alignment with product goals and overall company objectives.
- Technical Expertise : Lead hands-on development of GenAI models and oversee deployment, tuning, and optimization for real-world applications.
- Product Development : Collaborate closely with product, design, and data science teams to build, test, and launch new GenAI features.
- Team Development : Hire, mentor, and guide a high-performing and lean engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and accountability.
- Scalability : Architect systems for rapid scaling, ensuring the AI infrastructure is efficient, secure, and capable of handling large-scale data.
Qualifications :
- 10+ years in Software Engineering , with at least 3+ years in a leadership role, ideally within a high-growth, AI-driven company.
- Strong GenAI Experience : Mandatory hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks, including model development, deployment, and optimization.
- Technical Stack Knowledge : Expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain and experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Education or EdTech Background : Passion for transforming education with technology and an understanding of EdTech market trends.
