About The Position
Job Title : Certified Surgical Technician Job Specialty : Surgery (General Major) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 8-hour variable day shifts Monday to Thursday, plus call obligation Guaranteed Hours : 32 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Not specified Certifications : Certified Surgical Technician through NBSTSA Must-Have : Experience in general surgical tech skills including Orthopedic (Zimmer total joints, Arthrex shoulder & knee cases)- Endoscopy competency preferred (scope cleaning is a plus but not mandatory) Job Description : Handle 10-15 surgical cases and 15-20 endoscopy procedures per day- Work on cases including General, Ortho, Podiatry, OB / GYN, and ENT- Participate in a variable day shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility to work between 32 to 40 hours- Take part in call assignments : 7-9 days per month and one weekend every 3-4 weeks, with opportunities to pick up additional days- Stand by for call from Monday to Thursday 15 : 30 to 07 : 00 and Friday to Sunday 07 : 00 to 07 : 00- Meet a call response time of 30 minutes- Minimum orientation period of 12 hours is required;
guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation- Light green / blue scrubs are provided for the duration of employment- Work under the supervision of a charge nurse in the operating room during the day & a house supervisor available 24 / 7*The position is open to local candidates.*
