Paramedic will operate an ambulance in a safe and efficient manner. Paramedic will keep current on all required certifications and continuing education.

Essential Job FunctionsResponds to Calls and performs patient assessment and triagePerform IV Therapy and administer approved medications per Ohio EMS Scope of PracticePerforms advanced airway management per Ohio EMS Scope of Practice including needle decompression and advanced airway placement.

Cardiac Monitor strip interpretation all rhythms per scope of practice and defibrillationParticipate / attend required / mandatory trainings.

Education Qualifications -Required Minimum Education : High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education : Vocational / Technical DegreeSpecialty / Major : Paramedic CertificationLicensing / Certification -Licensure / Certification Required : Paramedic Certification State of OhioLicensure / Certification Required : Valid Driver’s License / AHA Healthcare Provider BLSLicensure / Certification Required : AHA ACLSLicensure / Certification Preferred : AHA PALS, NRP, ITLS / PHTL with in 6 months of hireLicensure / Certification Preferred : IS 100 and IS 700Minimum QualificationsMinimum Years and Type of Experience : 1-3 years preferredOther Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required : Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) within 1 year of hire.
