- GENERALSUMMARY
- Plans, provides, andmonitors individualized nursing care in response to specificpatient needs within a defined scope of practice.
Providesdevelopmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical carerespective to the assigned patient population. Reports todepartmental management.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
- Providesdevelopmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
- Plans, provides, and monitors specificpatient needs following established policies, procedures, andregulations.
- Communicates and collaborateseffectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- LICENSES AND / ORCERTIFICATIONS
- CurrentVirginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurseholding a valid Compact State license.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Musthave an Associates in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing with applicableexperience. BSN is preferred.
- RNcertification preferred.
- Pediatricexperience preferred.
- CPR Training requiredand / or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
- WORKINGCONDITIONS
- Expected to work ina patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmentalhazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, orextremes in temperatures.
Exposure to communicable diseases andmoderately adverse working conditions due to the need to performcertain patient care activities can be expected.
