We are on the lookout for a detailed and safety-oriented person Welder. The Welder is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and assembling railroad switch material and rail components to ensure high-quality, durable, and safe products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience welding heavy steel, with a strong focus on precision and safety.

Responsibilities / Job Duties :

• Perform MIG and Stick welding on switch points, frogs, stock rails, closure rails, and other railroad switch components.
• Weld rail sections, joints, and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welds for quality, durability, and compliance with specifications; make necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Grind, cut, or bevel metal parts to prepare surfaces for welding and finishing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Preheat and postheat metal parts as required to maintain metallurgical integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and weld quality checks.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards for welding in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Assist with general fabrication, fitting, and assembly duties as needed.
