VP of Oncology Service Line (South Bend)

The Vice President of Oncology Services reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Beacon Health System and serves in a dyad partnership with the Chief of Oncology. In alignment with the Oncology Service Line Council, this role ensures streamlined reporting, accountability, and strategic direction for oncology services across the system.

As a key system leader, the Vice President drives a market-leading value proposition and a continuum-wide oncology strategy. Operating within a matrixed environment, the role is accountable for achieving growth and value-based goals for the clinical service line while working closely with leaders from each operating entity.

This executive has significant management and operational responsibility, including oversight of planning, recruitment, budgeting, reporting, and daily functions for multiple oncology departments. Success in this role depends on fostering strong partnerships with operational leaders, physicians, and ancillary and support teams, ensuring alignment on shared goals, accountability measures, quality indicators, and systemwide standards.

The Vice President also plays a central role in guiding the development and expansion of oncology services, actively collaborating with the physician dyad partner and participating in the Oncology Service Line Council, which is composed of both operational administrators and physician leaders.
