Job Responsibilities
Pennoni, a leading engineering and design consulting firm, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer / Project Manager , in our Virginia Beach / Hampton Roads, VA office.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience :
Lead and manage projects for VDOT, local governments and agencies in the Hampton Roads and Richmond Areas, including VDOT locally administered transportation projects and multi-disciplinary projects.
Manage client relationships with Public and Private Clients, including contractors.
Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff and coordinating highway design tasks with survey, traffic, water resources and bridge staff on transportation improvement projects.
Required Attributes :
Providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff
- Preparing Proposals and Task Orders for existing contracts and ID / IQs
- Support Business Development and Client Engagement efforts (Conferences, Client Meetings, etc)
- VDOT Highway and roadway design experience
- Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus
- Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience.
- Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout experience
- Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
- Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
Preferred Attributes :
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Experience with developing project scopes of work and fee estimates and managing project budgets and invoicing.
