Position Purpose :
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Admissions department. Which includes but not limited to : Time keeping, education, auditing, and overseeing staff to ensure exceptional customer service.
What you will Do :
Facilitates resolution of issues.
Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring a quality improvement plan that is reviewed and revised annually or as needed for CQI.
Assures actions and decisions are consistent with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
Manages change by educating team members to accept and acknowledge change, leading others through it with a positive outlook.
Assists in assuring new employees are oriented to department, job and assuring competency tests are completed and at a level of accuracy consistent with departmental goals.
Serves as the knowledge expert and education resource for staff.
Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
Hours / Schedule :
Minimum Qualifications :
2 years post-high school education, preferably in Medical Secretary Program.
Minimum 3 years medical office experience.
Ability to convey positive image and communicate tactfully and professionally with staff, patients, and the public.
Ability to articulate hospital policies and regulations.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people and to work under pressure.
