About The Position
Job Title : CT Technologist Job Specialty : CT Technologist Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred License : Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio Certifications : ARRT, CPR Certification Must-Have : Ability to obtain CT registry within one year of hire Job Description : Operate Computerized Tomography and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic C.
T. scans and radiographs, under indirect supervision.- Ensure proper processing of all aspects of patients' records to facilitate timely procedure results.
- Evaluate images with a Radiologist and take additional images as needed or requested.- Assist in procedures of an invasive nature.
- Utilize manual dexterity to calibrate and operate equipment, accurately position patients, apply and adjust restraining devices, and administer intravenous injections of contrast.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital employees.- Lift and position patients as needed.
- Successfully complete training to perform other radiology procedures.- Utilize computer systems and file systems to manage patient records.
- Initiate CPR when necessary.- Interact effectively with patients / customers, ensuring an understanding of their need for self-respect and dignity.
- Work with Toshiba / Cannon equipment on rotating shifts : work 3 days, off 1, then work 3 more. The following week consists of being off 3 days, work 1 day, and off 3 more.
- Perform general ER procedures and join the stroke team. No holiday coverage required.- Enjoy a predictable schedule with "long weeks and short weeks" allowing for effective planning of PTO and downtime.
