EXPERIENCED (2 YR) Scheduler/intake in Home Health Care

Job Summary :

University Home Care is seeking an experienced Scheduler / intake with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Home Health Care to join our team in Livonia, Michigan.

This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the healthcare industry with a salary range of $18 to $25 per year.

The Scheduler / intake is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments and managing intake processes for new patients.

This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of home health care regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for home health care services
• Manage intake processes for new patients, including gathering necessary paperwork and insurance verification
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely scheduling of appointments
• Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
• Monitor and track patient progress and follow-up on appointments as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality

Requirements :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scheduler / intake in Home Health Care
• Knowledge of home health care regulations and procedures
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in computer skills, including electronic medical record systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
