Senior Scrum Master
About this role :
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support the Engineering Enablement Team within the Chief Technology Office.
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of one or more scrum teams, ensuring that the team(s) meet their sprint commitments.
In addition to being a servant leader and coach for the team, you will also be responsible for removing impediments, facilitating scrum ceremonies, and ensuring that the team adheres to scrum values and principles.
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching other Scrum Masters.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, as well as experience leading and coaching scrum teams.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of scrum values and principles, and experience with agile methodologies.
In this role, you will :
- Facilitate the scrum process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non projects, or maintenance work
- Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
- Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
- Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
- Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
- Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams
- Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customers
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Manage the scope of work to be done within the available time frame
- Lead the sprint ceremonies, such as the daily scrum and sprint retrospectives
- Work with the product owner to define the work to be done
- Remove conflicts and impediments to success
- Keep the scrum team focused on delivering the sprint goals
- Be the primary communicator within and outside of the scrum team
- Coach the scrum team as well as the rest of the business on the scrum framework
Required Qualifications :
4+ years of Practicing Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications :
- An Industry Standard Agile Certification
- 3+ years of JIRA experience
- 4+ years of experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers and / or helping in issue / impediment resolution
- Experience leading and coaching scrum teams
Job Expectations :
- Must be able to work from a CTO office in Charlotte, NC, Chandler, AZ, Des Moines, TX, Minneapolis, MN or Westlake, TX in a hybrid work environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
