Position Profile

Weaver’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance practice is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our growing Asset Management team! You will be a core member of our team and the role will work on client engagements in the asset management / financial services sector.

Our ideal Manager / Senior Manager is a driven team player who provides excellent service to clients throughout all phases of an engagement while developing, training and mentoring Associates and Senior Associates.

They work closely with leadership and play a key role in business development, engagement economics, and meeting client expectations.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field
  • CPA, CIA, CCRP, CRMA designation
  • 7+ years of public accounting, industry, audit, compliance or consulting experience
  • Advanced understanding of the asset management / financial services industry, and the associated compliance and risk requirements
  • Advanced understanding of compliance, internal audit, risk, IIA standards and / or SEC related requirements for asset management and financial services firms
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management, independent thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of financial reporting, transaction cycles, and business processes
  • Understanding of the SEC / FINRA / CFTC regulations, COSO internal control framework, Internal Audit Standards

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred :

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred; relevant industry experience will be taken into consideration
  • Experience supervising 2 to 5 or more individuals and proven ability to manage and develop staff
  • Extensive internal and / or external audit experience with a variety of industries and types of audits for public companies
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients

Annual Base Pay Range : $110,000 to $175,000
