Construction Superintendent
The Superintendent is a critical position within Reno Boyd Building Company (RBBC). The Superintendent will actively participate in the management and development of the project’s construction schedule, project phasing, and logistics plan prior to construction.
- Participate as required in preconstruction activities.
- Host kick off meetings with subcontractors before their work starts to discuss full scope.
- Create a site Utilization Plan consisting of the job-site office location, material laydown / staging areas, portable
toilets, temporary power set-up, etc.
- Organize & Plan Job with Project Manager
- Ensure testing coordination
- Advise Project manager of major risk items on each project and document field incidents
- Coordinate & Maintain equipment
- Implement and support Reno Boyd Building Co. Quality Control Program
- Utilize Procore to document all projects activities
- Never deviate from plans / specifications without written authorization from Architect / Engineer / Owner.
- Actively participate in creation of Project Schedule and provide weekly updated information to Project Manager
- Administration & evaluation of on-site hourly personnel
- Conduct safety meetings and prepare agenda.
- Enforce all Reno Boyd Building Co. safety rules and procedures
- Secure site & building at close of each work day
- Maintain project discipline to ensure each project is completed on-time per the contract schedule
- Create 3 week look-ahead schedules
- Conduct weekly Subcontractor meetings.
- Ensure a safe work environment for all persons on site.
- Submit weekly jobsite safety checklist to Project Manager
- Manage the inspection process
- Complete punch list, assist with close out, commissioning and training
Qualifications
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Commercial project management experience is a must
- Work in the private sector is preferable
