Shift : Days / 7 : 30a-4p, 8x5, 40hrs per week

Length : 13 Weeks

Requirements :

• 1 year experience
• Will accept less than 2 years experience
• 1st time travelers
• 2 year experience in Mammography preferred

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures.

Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This position is critical to Washington Radiology;

by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.

Mammography Skills / Procedures / Experience :

Digital - Required

3D - Required

Two years of experience in Mammography preferred

• Will accept less than 2 years experience and 1st time travelers.
• Knowledge of database software, RIS / PACS software and eRad is preferred;
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
• Prior quality control experience preferred;
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;

Ability to stand for long periods of time

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;

Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location; New applicants : ETA 6-8 weeks for license.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school.

Will accept 1 year experience and 1st time travelers.

Please note that all pay rates are estimates. Weekly gross pay is based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to allied positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
