We are a technology consulting firm that specializes in helping accelerate our client’s digital roadmap in the areas of Product Management, Cloud, Data, and Software Engineering.

About the position :

We are currently seeking a Project Manager who will provide oversight and leadership in executing projects from planning to completion.

The PM will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations.

The PM will work closely with the technical lead on the project to ensure that delivery is on track and work together on communicating and / or escalation identified or potential project risks.

The role requires someone who is a dynamic leader, excellent communicator, and highly organized professional that can drive projects to successful completion.

The PM will present formal status, progress, and completion reports to client stakeholders and Ippon leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Initiation :
  • Collaborate with clients and pre-sales team to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resourcing needs
  • Work with Technical Lead to assign responsibilities within the project team, and set clear expectations
  • Project Execution :
  • Lead project teams in executing tasks and activities according to the project plan
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and resources, and make necessary adjustments
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements
  • Ensures the Ippon delivery playbook is followed and provides feedback and ideas on enhancements to our process
  • Helps the team get started on artifacts by leveraging or creating templates
  • Stakeholder Communication :
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders regularly
  • Facilitate productive meetings and provide status reports
  • Risk Management :
  • Identify and document potential risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Proactively address issues and challenges to keep projects on track
  • Ensure adherence to project governance and best practices
  • Resource Management :
  • Support project resources, including team members and third-party vendors
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency
  • Project Closure :
  • Ensure all project objectives are met and deliverables are approved
  • Conduct project post-mortems to capture lessons learned and best practices
  • Prepare and present project closure documentation as needed
  • Client Success & Team Building :
  • Lead with hunger and curiosity - ask appropriate questions to help move the team forward and to ensure we understand stakeholder needs
  • Anticipate potential issues and create structure in the midst of ambiguity
  • Conduct productive meetings by bringing the right people together to solve problems and discuss important topics, and encouraging healthy conflict to foster innovation and problem-solving
  • Serve as a mentor to the project team around communication and stakeholder management
  • Build trusting relationships with client stakeholders and project team
  • Deliver excellent consulting engagement experiences to our clients
  • Promote the brand and foster sales leads by organizing or contributing to thought leadership (written or verbal) opportunities including conferences, events, or blogging

Competencies we are looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a PM in IT consulting or related industry
  • 3+ years of experience as a PM supporting technical product roadmaps and strategies
  • 3+ years of experience working closely with product development teams in an Agile environment, preferred
  • Proven experience with enterprise-wide dependency management, preferred
  • CSM or Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) is a plus
  • Proven knowledge of project management tools, methodologies and best practices
  • Proven experience with BOTH waterfall and agile project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to interact effectively with both business and technical teams
  • Preferred experience supporting :
  • data engineering or DevOps projects. i.e. Data lake, data pipelines, cloud migrations
  • greenfield AWS projects
  • Financial Services industry

$110,000 - $135,000 a year
