We seek a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Senior Manager to join our team and lead our accounting department. This position is preferred Hybrid in Mountain View, CA, or Remote for the right candidate.

Position Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and streamline daily accounting activities : AP / AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Spearhead month-end and year-end closing, ensuring accurate financial statements and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Innovate and uphold internal controls and procedures, maintaining alignment with U.S. GAAP.
• Optimize and manage finance software, focusing on accounting and revenue recognition tools.
• Collaborate with the VP of Finance to refine and implement effective accounting policies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting staff, including a bookkeeper.
• Facilitate the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Engage with various teams to offer financial insights for informed decision-making.
• Continuously enhance accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings, liaising with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Undertake special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and familiarity with critical financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite.

Experience with Maxio-SaaSOptics is advantageous).

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and SaaS Revenue Recognition.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Independent, self-motivated professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in the Pacific Standard Time zone.

Preferred Qualifications

• SaaS business model experience.
• MBA, CFA, and / or other relevant certifications are a bonus.
• Experience leading accounting at a venture-backed startup.
