INVO is seeking an LDTC to cover a short term need in Parsippany, NJ. The LDTC will work with the Child Study Team (CST).
Their primary duties include :
- Assessing Students : Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify learning disabilities in students and determine their educational needs.
- Developing Educational Plans : Collaborating with teachers, parents, and CST members to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
- Consultation and Support : Providing expertise to teachers on how to adapt instruction and assessments to support students with learning disabilities.
Offering strategies to help students improve their academic performance.
Compliance with Special Education Laws : Ensuring that educational interventions and services comply with state and federal special education laws and policies.
For this role, candidates typically need New Jersey certification as an LDTC and experience working with students with disabilities.
Additionally, skills in collaboration, communication, and understanding of educational assessments are critical.
