A health services organization in California is looking to add a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to their Primary Care team.
In this role, the Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the healthcare needs of patients as well as performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities :
The Physician Assistant (PA) will :
- Assess the clinical status of patients
- Take patient histories and perform complete physical examinations of patients
- Order and perform laboratory and screening tests in accordance with approved protocols or standardized procedures
- Consult with the Physician Supervisor as necessary and refer cases as appropriate
- Formulate clinical assessment based upon clinical findings, plans, and coordinates care
- Recommend and / or administer treatment or medications as approved
- Provide and evaluate patient care according to adopted protocols and quality assurance program criteria
- Participate in on-going evaluation, quality assurance, required trainings, peer review, provider meetings and other clinical meetings
- Educate patients regarding health and illness prevention; recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- CA Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Board Eligible / Certified
- CPR certification
- DEA license / registration
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
