Job Description :
Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficientdeployment of software releases. Coordinate & collaborateclosely with crossfunctional teams including Development DevOps andQA to ensure highquality software releases while minimizing risksand downtimes.
Duties include :
- Collaborate with development teams & product ownersto plan and schedule software releases considering projecttimelines and business requirements.
- Overseethe release calendar (Forward Schedule of Change) and coordinatewith stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments with minimaldisruptions.
- Establish release processes andbest practices to maintain a consistent and efficient deploymentpipeline.
- Oversee configuration managementprocesses ensuring that all components environments anddependencies are welldocumented and version controlled.
- Facilitate change management procedures validatingproposed changes and evaluating potential impacts beforedeployment.
- Continuously improve automationscripts and workflows to optimize release efficiency.
- Conduct postrelease reviews and root cause analysis (5whys) to identify opportunities for improvement and implementpreventive measures.
- Design and implementstrategy to leverage Canary Regions improving rollouts of softwarereleases minimizing potential impact on productionenvironments.
Ideal Qualifications :
- 3yrs release management deployment automationand change management in a cloudbased environment.
- Familiarity with Canary Region deployment strategies andrelated tools to manage gradual rollouts effectively.
- Strong experience with CI / CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLabCI / CD CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS AzureGCP) and mobile application deployment processes(iOS / Android).
- Work to ensure our ITSMpractices around key areas such as Incident Problem Change andRelease Management are consistently being followed and processesrun smoothly and effectively.
- Proficiency inscripting and automation (e.g. Bash Python) to streamlinedeployment workflows.
- Knowledge ofconfiguration management tools (e.g. Ansible Chef Puppet) andinfrastructureascode (IaC) principles.
- ITILCertification (version 4).
- Strongunderstanding of ITIL best practices.
