Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct the search for a Sr. Accountant  on behalf of our client, an amazing school in Los Angeles that supports students by providing an inclusive environment with innovative teaching.

This is a contract, on-site opportunity available for immediate hire!

Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily operational accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Manage and reconcile general ledger transactions
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Complete account and bank reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial goals and initiatives
• Provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in an educational or nonprofit environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
• Independent, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable, quick learner with the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting

Compensation : Â

This position offers an hourly rate of $40, along with a monthly technology stipend. Eligible employees working an average of 30 or more hours per week can access benefits including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits.

A retirement plan is also available.
