Required Education / Experience
3 or 4-year-old Classroom
- Preschool CDA Certificate (or HS Diploma / GED and on IDP to complete a Preschool CDA within 6 months)
- Certificate of Mastery
- Associate's Degree (or Higher) in any subject and have 12 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education
- Associate's Degree (or Higher) in Early Childhood Education or a Related Degree
Infant / Toddler or 2 Year Old Classroom
- Infant / Toddler CDA Certificate
- Certificate of Mastery
- Associate's Degree (or Higher) in any subject and have 12 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education
- Associate's Degree (or Higher) in Early Childhood Education or a related field Degree
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Must have proven successful interpersonal relationship skills to maintain effective and satisfactory working relationships with intra-department and inter-department staff, vendors, clients, visitors, and contractors.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with the ability to read, interpret, and present information efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to accurately audit records and ensure compliance with written or oral guidelines.
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work well under pressure.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc
Essential Physical & Mental Requirements
This is a classroom position that requires active supervision, requiring focused attention to look, listen, and engage with young children.
Work requires frequent bending, stooping, lifting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, stretching, pushing, and pulling throughout the day.
Must have the ability to lift and / or carry objects and children weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and quickly respond to children's needs.
Regular and reliable attendance is required.
