- Standards of Practice : Guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, RNs utilize a comprehensive nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. - Professional Performance : RNs embody professionalism through ethical practice, effective communication, leadership, and evidence-based care. Continuous professional development is encouraged, ensuring that nurses are knowledgeable about current practices and future innovations.\n\nQualifications\n
- Education : Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school, with a BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification is required within one month of hire.\n
- Experience : This position serves as the foundational role for all RNs, with opportunities to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.\n
- Licensure : Must hold an active nursing license in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.\n
- Special Skills : Strong emphasis on patient care, professional growth, and skill development.\n\nPhysical Demands : This role requires prolonged standing, walking, and acute sensory skills such as sight and touch. RNs may encounter varying physical and emotional challenges, including caring for patients with infectious diseases and those nearing end-of-life situations. The capacity to assist with lifting patients weighing from five to three hundred pounds is essential.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis position operates under the Connecticut Healthcare Associates Collective Bargaining Agreement.
