The Senior Director of Product, Content Discovery will lead a product team of 5-7 people focused on streamlining the end-to-end discovery experience of how users find and decide what to watch next.

You will own the vision, strategy, planning, and execution of the Content Discovery roadmap, which will have impacts across our international portfolio of streaming experiences.

You and your team will be tasked with challenges like : How can we present content on the home page (and other top level navigation pages) to spur discovery?

How can we help users make informed decisions through content metadata? And how can we better organize content detail pages to get users to the right episode faster?

The ideal candidate will leverage strong organizational skills and deep subject matter expertise to partner with stakeholders across editorial, marketing, engineering + device teams to drive our product forward.

This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and ambitious initiative to shape the future of TV and will require someone who can juggle creative and analytical responsibilities, from strategy definition and creative solutioning to experimentation and technical development.

In this role, you will :

  • Build a strategic vision, roadmap, and experimentation strategy to deliver new content discovery capabilities across platforms
  • Manage the user journey from home screen to content details at all stages of the user’s lifecycle
  • Manage, mentor and motivate an international group of product managers in the content discovery area
  • Work across multiple time zones (Lisbon to London to LA) to align with key stakeholders and move the Content Discovery vision forward
  • Partner with the Personalization team that will build the ML models that power user facing features
  • Collaborate with other product managers, design, data and strategy teams to develop holistic points of view and confidently make product decisions
  • Partner with project management and technology teams in the US and Europe and influence multi-year product roadmaps and Agile priorities
  • Deeply understand business considerations, competitive landscape, and best practices to drive optimal streaming TV experiences
  • Create and deliver winning executive presentations that explain product vision, features and roadmaps and manage senior stakeholder expectations
  • Help build a product culture at Peacock and inspire the next generation of product leaders

  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight schedules
  • Enthusiasm to be positive, confident and energetic

Qualifications

  • BA / BS degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ years of experience of overall product management experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Consumer-centric view with a proven track-record of developing and acting on customer insights
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience managing and motivating teams
  • Experience with A / B testing, hypothesis validation and user testing
  • Experience with multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Amazon, Roku, Apple) and domains (TV, Movies, Sports, News, Kids)
  • Fluency with project management tools such as Jira, as well as analytics software
  • Ability and self-motivation to work effectively offsite and with remote, global, multi-lingual teams

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
