Overview :
The Accounting Support Group Analyst is an entry level position responsible for assisting in a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team.
The overall objective of this role is research and process of corporate action events and security valuation to facilitate the calculation of daily Net Asset Valuations (NAVs) for Mutual Funds and Exchange Traded Funds.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with research and processing of corporate actions by following documented procedures and defined guidelines.
- Support resolution of inquiries related to cash and position reconciliation breaks.
- Ensure accurate valuation is applied to the fund’s financial instruments such as domestic and foreign stocks, bonds, futures, and options.
- Calculate and analyze market value movement and impact to the fund’s NAVs derived from pricing fluctuation.
- Cooperate with offshore partners in activities related to Security Master and Reference Data, including but not limited to security setup, fixed and variable coupon rate and credit rating.
- Communicate with internal partners to promote collaboration, best practices, and collective approach.
- Adhere to procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assist in completing all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for clients.
- Escalate concerns and issues in a timely manner, maintaining focus on client service excellence.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications :
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with accounting, finance, or business-related area.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of Mutual Funds and Exchange Traded Funds preferred.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience.
