Engineering Technician - Security Clearance Required

AVIAN is looking for an Engineering Technician to support our customer Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two One ( HX - 21 ) at Patuxent River Naval Base, in Patuxent River Maryland.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidatewill apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, as part of an engineering staff. They will be responsible for working with COMSEC equipment and adhering to the processes and procedures associated with COMSEC.

Typical responsibilities include :

• Properly account for, store, issue, inventory, destroy (if necessary), and safeguard all COMSEC material provided to them.
• Create and retain the required accounting documentation
• Ensure users have the proper clearance and are authorized to access COMSEC material
• Issue COMSEC material on local custody forms
• Provide written guidance concerning handling, accountability, and disposition of COMSEC material
• Conduct training to ensure that all personnel handling COMSEC material adhere to COMSEC procedures
• Incorporate emergency action and / or emergency destruction procedures for COMSEC material
• Expert on handling Data transfer devicesfor keying of all Cryptographic equipment

Qualifications

• Must have 3 to 10 years of experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance.
• Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• The salary range for this role is $100,000-$110,000( The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and / or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
