Community Relations Representative
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Community Relations Representative. We are looking for a driven sales professional who will develop early and appropriate referrals by creating and sustaining business partnerships with referral sources to drive growth in our Hospice business.
Key responsibilities include :
1. Developing, implementing, and evaluating quarterly and annual territory plans, strategies and actions to achieve budgeted targets.
2. Analyzing territory, establishing sales goals, and together with sales manager, writing sales plan.
3. Developing business relationships by making effective sales contacts, meetings, and presentations.
4. Building relationships with the PruittHealth Hospice staff to ensure effective communication with referral sources.
5. Building relationships with partners from other PruittHealth divisions to identify opportunities to collaborate and keep patients within Pruitt's continuum of care.
6. Identifying key referring physicians, building the PruittHealth Hospice brand, and identifying opportunities to increase referral volume from these offices.
7. Identifying key referring personnel in hospitals, nursing homes, and managed care operations, along with opportunities to increase referral volume from these sources.
8. Basic knowledge of insurance companies and other payer sources.
9. Supporting and participating in promotional activities, sales campaigns, and other growth initiatives.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include :
Demonstrating principles of the sales process in a healthcare environment.
Managing a territory, conducting sales calls and presentations, and generating referrals by building long term business relationships.
Developing a clinical knowledge base to support sales activities.
Effective verbal and written communicator, including ability to communicate with the different disciplines in the healthcare field.
Identifying and developing new referral sources.
Familiar with MS Office Suite (primarily MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint).
Comfortable with virtual working tools and videoconferencing software (Webex, Google Meet, Zoom, MS Teams).
Able to master additional professional software.
Maintaining professional and clinical competence.
Participating in center / agency surveys (Licensure / JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.
Attending and participating in mandatory in-services.
Honoring patients / residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.
Complying with corporate compliance program.
Reporting job-related functions / tasks that involve occupational hazards including exposure to blood and body fluids and others as necessary.
Following established safety regulations, to include fire protection and prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.
Performing other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
Minimum education required : Bachelor's Degree highly preferred. Extensive relevant industry experience with (2) years of college or business school and / or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Minimum experience required : Familiarity with healthcare landscape and sales processes. Two (2) year experience in Healthcare Sales / Marketing, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
