Minimum Requirements
- A medical degree in orthopedics and the successful completion of a fellowship and residency.
- A license and certification to practice medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- A good working knowledge of the methods and equipment used in orthopedics.
- Flexibility and the ability to work shifts and remain on call for emergency situations.

Position Summary
Provides direct patient care, to include examination, diagnosis, treatment, and disease control.
Position Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and treating injuries and degenerative bone conditions, including prescribing medications and ordering lab tests as needed.
- Taking patients' histories, using specialized equipment to determine the extent of a fraction or injury, and determining the best mode of treatment.
- Treating Acute and chronic injuries, bone conditions, and pain.
- Discussing options with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and providing follow up care for chronic injuries, degenerate bone conditions, and pain issues.
- Performing physical exams and taking medical histories to identify possible causes of pain or injury.
- Prescribing medications, treatments, and therapies as needed to treat patients.
- Ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and blood tests to aid in diagnosis.
- Communicating with other health care providers involved in patient care including specialists, nurses, therapists, etc.
- Educating patients about their conditions and treatment plans, answering their questions, and providing follow-up care.
- Monitoring patients' healing processes and making necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.
- Arranging rehabilitation plans after surgeries.
- Supervising and assigning duties to nurses and other medical staff and referring patients to other specialists for further treatment or recovery plans.
- Enhancing your abilities and remaining up to date through attending medical conferences and courses.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
