Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas.

RN - Pediatrics -

3x12 nights 7p-7a

Float to NICU required.

Certifications : BLS, OCN, PALS

May also be asked to float to another floor / campus, must be flexible.

Every other weekend required

1 : 4 patient ratios

3 years' experience required.

Accepts first time travelers.

Certifications : BLS, PALS required.

CPHON, NRP, OCN preferred.

Charting : Allscripts

Navy scrubs

Traveler must live 150 miles or more from facility to be considered.

COVID-19 Vaccine : Not Required

Skills : Administration of blood & blood products, Administration of chemotherapy

  • , Anti-Seizure Medications, Assist with lumbar puncture, BiPAP / CPAP, Breastfeeding Support / Handling of Breast Milk
  • , Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line / Implanted Line Care, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Fractures, Hyperbilirubinemia, Infection Prevention, Insertion and management of indwelling urinary catheter, Insulin administration, Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • , Isolation Precautions, IV Insulin Pumps
  • , Management of Chest Tubes, Management of dysrhythmias
  • , Monitoring chemotherapy (does not initiate)
  • , Neuromuscular disease, NG tube insertion / management, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) / Rapid Response Team, Pediatric MedSurg, Peripheral Line Care / Management, Phlebotomy, Seizure disorders, Starting and maintaining IVs, Symptom management, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, TPN / Lipids, Tracheostomy care / management, Ventilator Management
