What you bring :
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of various fire alarm systems and their components.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Duties / Responsibilities :
- Performs diagnosis and troubleshooting as required on fire / security, card access, door entry, paging / sound and other electronic systems.
- Communicates with ARK team members to effectively pursue company goals of servicing systems according to acceptable standards and practices.
- Communicates with customer concerning the importance, operation and status of their life safety system.
- Operating / maintaining company vehicle.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- NICET certifications a plus, but not required
- Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
- Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems
- Must have a positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors and customers.
- Competent computer skills
Education and Experience :
- AA degree in electronics preferred, or equivalent technical / Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus.
- Field electrical and / or electronic practical experience required.
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.
Physical Requirements :
- Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
- Must be willing to work at heights
- Must be able to operate electrical tools and a company vehicle
- Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
