We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 7-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This opportunity begins on Nov 24, 2025, and features overnight shifts from 7p-7a across multiple hospital sites, providing nocturnist med surg coverage at critical access and trauma facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide nocturnist hospitalist coverage for med surg patients at critical access and trauma hospitalsIndependently manage patient admissions and acute care overnight, with varying acuity and volumeOperate as the sole provider at critical access locations with no staff support (Jacksonville and Lincoln sites)Manage 3-4 admits / night at higher acuity sites and 1-2 admits / night at lower acuity sitesCollaborate with MD and APP teams at trauma level 1 facilities, supporting up to 10-12 admits / nightUtilize Meditech, CPSI, Epic, and Cerner EMR systems as appropriate to each siteEnsure high-quality patient care while adapting to different hospital protocols and EMR platformsAdditional Information
Current Illinois nurse practitioner license requiredHospitalist experience strongly preferredMust have Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAbility to work independently and confidently in critical access hospital settingsFlexibility to rotate among multiple hospital sites and adapt to different EMR systemsBenefits
