We are looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant - Special Education in Modesto, CA. The ideal Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) will possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with a supportive and patient-focused approach.
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to help implement therapy plans, conduct speech and language exercises, and assist in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with communication disorders.
Your duties include preparing materials for therapy sessions, documenting patient progress, and providing direct therapy services to individuals as directed by the supervising SLP.
Your ability to work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, while maintaining detailed records and following established treatment protocols, will be essential in supporting positive outcomes and helping individuals improve their communication abilities.
Job Requirements :
6 months of paid or volunteer experience in a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant program
An Associate's Degree from a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant program
Registration as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant with the State of California.
Certification (Registration with the State of California as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant)
