Revenue Operations Manager - Growing Private Equity Fund

Our client is looking for a Revenue Operations (RevOps) Manager to support Business Development and firm-wide reporting. This position is an in-person / hybrid role in San Francisco, and reports to the Head of Business Development.

This role is essential to the firm’s proprietary investment sourcing efforts and is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the Business Development function.

The RevOps Manager supports the business development and marketing team’s objectives by managing and improving the sourcing technology stack, curating, managing, and improving sourcing data, generating and maintaining reports and leaderboards on the status of investment sourcing performance, and working with the Business Development and Executive teams to develop and implement sourcing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide overall support and cross-functional coordination for the firm’s Business Development team
  • Leverage sales / marketing automation, CRM, analytics and other 3rd party sales and marketing tools as well as workflow automations and sourcing technology integrations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sourcing organization
  • Implement sourcing-enabling technologies, including CRM integrations and add-ons, for the sourcing organization
  • Work closely with Head of Business Development to optimize the effectiveness of the firm’s investments
  • Help create & maintain systems and processes that produce the data necessary to run the business development and make regular strategic decisions
  • Assist the sourcing organization in making data-driven decisions by developing and maintaining regular and ad-hoc reports in support of sourcing objectives including weekly, monthly, and annual KPI and performance reporting
  • Proactively monitor and communicate sourcing pipeline and results, metrics and standings to ensure the outreach team has a clear understanding of performance against goals.

Monitor the accuracy and effective application of reports, notifications, automations and other intelligence tools in support of sourcing objectives.

Recommend and assist in the development of new tools and processes as needed

  • Work across the firm to lead and coordinate database improvement initiatives, including data augmentation, updating, and proactively monitoring enforcing the sourcing organization’s compliance with CRM data hygiene requirements
  • Lead CRM administration and insights pull conversion metrics, datasets, weekly pipeline reports, etc
  • Coordinate training delivery to outreach team
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sourcing process improvement. Work closely with Head of Business Development to inspect process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

Assist sourcing leadership in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitate an organization of continuous process improvement

  • Regularly use Excel and data analysis tools to streamline and improve routine tasks and processes.
  • Coordinate and manage projects across multiple teams and external vendors in support of sourcing organization improvement initiatives
  • Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other functional teams

Experience and Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales operations or business analysis role working directly with sales leaders.
  • Experience with PE / VC is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency supporting and improving sales operations
  • Proficiency with SalesLoft and Salesforce.com platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce dashboards, reporting and workflow automations (including Process Builder)
  • Deep expertise in Excel (including expertise with functions such as Vlookup and Index / Match). Experience with PowerPoint a plus
  • Ability to work independently and also collaborate cross functionally
  • Impeccable analytical toolkit, with the ability to both think creatively and to use data to draw strategic big picture conclusions
  • Results oriented individual with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent business writing and communication skills experience working and presenting to senior audiences
