The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a part-time Kitchen Assistant for the Coastal Alabama Area Command located in Mobile, Alabama.
About this opportunity :
Assists in the preparation and serving of meals. Cleans kitchen equipment and washes dishes. Sweeps and mops floors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include :
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to assist in the preparation and presentation of meals.
- Ability to wash dishes and kitchen appliances.
- Ability to clean kitchen and dining area.
What we are looking for in you :
One year experience working in a kitchen or any equivalent combination of training and experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Work is performed in a normal kitchen environment where there may be limited physical discomforts associated with working around hot stoves / ovens or cold freezers.
Duties are usually performed by frequent walking and / or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.
