This role is responsible for the product design and continuous improvement of our capital equipment product line. Projects consist of filtration equipment, primarily filter presses, used for industrial dewatering.
Candidate will provide leadership around the solution needed to meet the customer's needs, including provide design support, detailed schematic print designs, technical leadership on project related issues from customer inquiry, project kick-off and approval from construction to equipment commissioning, supporting Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Testing.
This role will work cross-functionally to execute and deliver projects on time, within budget and with adherence to the commercial and technical specifications.
Must be experienced in electro-mechanical designs (hydraulics, automation, pressure, fluid mechanics, etc.).
Minimal Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical
5+ years of experience in Engineered-to-Order Projects, Capital Equipment design
Proficiency with 3-D CAD modeling software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, Vault
Will consider other CAD platforms
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to

Engineer and design complex solutions for our customers' needs.
Develop submittal packages to include, CAD models, General Arrangement Drawings, P&ID diagrams and manufacturing drawings packets.
Working with automation vendors to develop PLC program requirements.
Provide ongoing support engineering as required for the existing product line.
Understand, develop, document, and communicate project specification requirements to team members.
Continually monitor the project and identify any potential technical issues and changes in cost or the schedule and remedy as needed.
Create, review, and approve documentation for release to manufacturing as per the project plan (BOM's, Product Structures, Routings)
Strong technical acumen and ability to gather information to make confident technical decisions.
Experience with customer specifications, industry code standards as they relate to the design aspects of capital equipment.
Understanding of budgets and other project controls.
Ability to understand specifications and to read and interpret contract documents.
Ability to multi-task on several projects.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills including the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be capable of working closely with direct customers.
