Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with a focus on Pediatric NICU care. The ideal candidate will be equipped to handle critical care respiratory therapy for neonates and pediatric patients, with an emphasis on high-risk scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care to neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
  • Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal transports.
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as oscillating ventilators and nitric oxide delivery systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ventilators and high-pressure alarms.
  • Perform intubation, extubation, and airway management.
  • Administer respiratory treatments including aerosol medications and pulmonary hygiene.
  • Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpretation.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, specifically in a pediatric NICU setting.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Active state license is required at the time of submission.
  • Charge experience is preferred, as well as familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Must be comfortable floating within the hospital and managing a patient ratio of 12 : 1.
