Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with a focus on Pediatric NICU care. The ideal candidate will be equipped to handle critical care respiratory therapy for neonates and pediatric patients, with an emphasis on high-risk scenarios.
Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care to neonates, pediatrics, and adults.Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal transports.Utilize specialized equipment such as oscillating ventilators and nitric oxide delivery systems.Monitor and troubleshoot ventilators and high-pressure alarms.Perform intubation, extubation, and airway management.Administer respiratory treatments including aerosol medications and pulmonary hygiene.Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpretation.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, specifically in a pediatric NICU setting.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Active state license is required at the time of submission.Charge experience is preferred, as well as familiarity with Epic charting system.Must be comfortable floating within the hospital and managing a patient ratio of 12 : 1.Why ARMStaffing?
