Our federal client is hiring a Senior Network Engineer on a hybrid basis (1 day per week onsite) for $70 / hour (W2). This is a federal position : you MUST be a US Citizen to be eligible.
We CANNOT accept C2C candidates at this time.
Tasks :
- Assist the networking team with daily operations and ongoing projects, including troubleshooting routing and switching issues, developing new designs, managing maintenance windows, and handling any other tasks as required.
- Extensive expertise in BGP and OSPF, traffic engineering, route optimization, and failover scenarios.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supporting enterprise-grade routers and switches in a large data center environment
- Expert-level knowledge of OSPF and BGP are essential for this position
- Demonstrating expertise in supporting and configuring the following technologies : BGP, OSPF, STP in NXOS and IOSXE platforms
- Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting large data center networks
- Experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, etc) and Cisco Catalyst switches and routers
- XVLAN, Wireless and AWS networking is a plus
