Summary
The District
Manager (DM) is primarily responsible for operational excellence in his / her
region and is an ambassador of 1788 Chicken Mission, Vision, and Culture to the
teams that they lead. The DM plays a vital role in effectively communicating
initiatives from 1788 Chicken Leadership to the stores in his / her market and
relaying feedback from the store level back to 1788 Chicken Leadership. In this
way, the DM serves an indispensable management function of both operational
oversight and casting the vision of 1788 Chicken Leadership to his / her market.
Other
responsibilities include financial oversight of stores in his / her region,
cultivating store leaders, driving customer service excellence, assisting with
New Store Openings (NSO), and executing administrative tasks timely and
completely. District Managers report to the Director of Operations and
supervise General Managers within the region he / she is assigned.
Essential Functions
DM’s are heavily involved in store day-to-day
activity conducting store walk-throughs, audits, store observations, monitoring
staff and ensuring commitment to 1788 Chicken Operational objectives.
DM’s are the paragon of 1788 Chicken Culture,
and they are expected to lead their market through servant leadership.
DM’s should be financial stewards of their assigned
market and tasked with developing GMs’ business acumen to understand financial
drivers of the business.
DM’s drive constant development of staff to
ensure that the next leaders in the market / company are being proactively
developed so that the management bench is appropriately staffed.
DM’s set the example for communicating
effectively both from top down as well as bottom up and challenge GMs to
communicate effectively.
DM’s are experts in customer service and are
effective at cultivating customer-service-minded staff in the stores they
oversee.
DM’s oversee New Store Openings in their
market through monitoring training and developing New Store management team and
staff. DM’s also assist during openings with staffing, product quality and
control, and upholding Zaxby’s operations and customer service standards.
DM’s partner with Human Resources to ensure
that HR data is complete and accurate, and DM’s follow the proper channels of
approval and processes for administrative tasks. Through these administrative
activities, DM’s ensure we care for our internal guests.
Zaxby's is an American chain of fast casual restaurants offering chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches, and salads. The chain operates primarily in the South, and has more than 900 locations.
Additionally, 1788 Chicken is an independent franchisee with 50 Zaxby's and growing!
