WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Senior Manager of Business Development will help build the company’s market position by assisting the Business Development team with the quoting and proposal process for new projects and potential clients.

Primary responsibilities include outreach and relationship-development with new and existing clients, building full proposals for client projects, brainstorming event and project concepts and coordinating graphic design with the creative team, and overseeing the creation and updating of sales materials and capabilities database.

The role reports directly to and supports the VP of Business Development based just outside of Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop in-depth knowledge and ability to promote our capabilities and services including fabrication, signage and branding, and live event production
  • Create proposals including design and layout, pricing, concepting, and detailed descriptions of our services and capabilities
  • Identify and utilize sales and marketing tools that lead to improved market exposure
  • Provide budget estimates based on client specifications and event production needs
  • Partner with event execution teams on budget and project details to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Lead research on materials, innovations, build methods, rental options, and other industry trends
  • Identify and develop existing and prospective clients
  • Produce detailed quotes of potential projects through vendors and our in-house teams
  • Identify complex problems and implement solutions in a time sensitive manner
  • Other duties as assigned

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or relevant field
  • 5 years of business development or marketing experience including client pitches and service proposals
  • 3 years of experience in live event production and / or event branding
  • Experience working with visual designers including graphic design and 3D render artists
  • Skilled in creative concepting and end-to-end presentation building
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to estimate project completion timelines
  • Demonstrated customer service skills. Understanding client needs and will go above and beyond to exceed expectations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide budget estimations, and advise clients on options based on their proposed budget
  • Strong organization and project management skills and ability to continuously manage multiple large projects at any given time
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge base as business and clients necessitates
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and working with print vendors and / or branding applications is a plus
