Staff Accountant

Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting tasks, detailed analysis, general ledger

entries and account reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and

practices.

THIS IS A REMOTE, IN OFFICE, OR HYBRID ROLE

Salary : 45K / Yearly

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting for various transactions of the business and ensure they are properly accounted for and accurately reflected in the financial statements
• Analyze large volumes of financial data showing close attention to detail and use independent judgment for purposes of identifying variances between site level detail and credit card processor reports, when possible, resolving accounting operating system issues and developing procedures to improve current processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to cater communications to the intended audience
• Responsible for general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices
• Conform and adhere to internal controls over accounting procedures as set forth by upper management
• Interfaces frequently with various levels within the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance Preferred
• 2+ years of General Ledger Accounting and reconciliation experience in a corporate environment · Thorough understanding of GAAP
• Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines · Experience completing detailed accounting schedules
• Ability to handle and reconcile large amounts of detailed transactions
• Strong computer, presentation, and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
• Remote work experience preferred
