About The Position
A Neuro ICU RN (Registered Nurse) plays a critical role in providing specialized care to patients with neurological conditions in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.

Responsibilities : Patient Assessment :
Patient Assessment :
- Conduct thorough neurological assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Evaluate changes in patients’ conditions and respond accordingly.
Care Coordination :
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs.
Medication Administration :
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic responses.
Monitoring :
- Use advanced monitoring equipment to track neurological status and overall health.
- Recognize and act on signs of deterioration in patients' conditions.
Patient Education :
Provide education to patients and families about neurological disorders, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
Documentation :
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in real-time.
Crisis Management :
- Respond to emergencies, including seizures or changes in consciousness.
- Implement life-saving interventions as necessary.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
