Responsibilities : Position Summary :

Position Summary :

The Adult Float Pool Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for all aspects of patient care while maintaining a high performance level in quality, service, critical nursing skills, and critical thinking.

The position will require floating to all Telemetry and Medical / Surgical Departments. The Adult Float Pool Registered Nurse must be familiar with and adhere to Regulatory Standards and Fountain Valley Regional Hospital Policies and Procedure.

Required Qualifications :

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Required :

• Current California Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications.
• Minimum of (1) year nursing experience in a Telemetry Department.
• Exercises excellent observation and sound nursing judgment, excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate care needs.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision; excellent organizational skills.
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling Float Pool role obligation.

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
