Job Title : Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products.

Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.

Responsibilities include :

• Interpret assembly and elevation drawings
• Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies
• Read tape measure
• Experience using manual hand tools (wrench, screwdriver, pliers)
• Experience with power tools (drill, impact, pneumatic torque wrench)

Work Environment

The facility is a medium-sized facility with 60 employees. They manufacture everything from start to finish in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly.

The facility is very clean, new, modernly designed, and maintains comfortable temperatures to work in.
