Internal Medicine Opportunity near Lansing & Grand Rapids, Michigan!!

Hospital is seeking a board certified / eligible Internist. The practice is

located at the Health Network Professional Building and shares office space with

the Family Care Center. The position available is primarily an outpatient one. The

physician will be asked to care for adult medical patients with multiple system diseases.

This will include caring for patients with both acute and chronic problems in

Endocrinology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, and

Rheumatology. Access to multiple IM subspecialties along with OB / GYN and surgical

specialties is readily available. The physician will also be asked to frequently perform

pre-operative risk assessments on outpatient surgical patients. The need for outpatient

procedures is limited but may at times include cardiac stress testing, PFT and EKG

interpretation, Outpatient call will be shared with other physicians in the system.

Electronic Medical Records software is used in the office. The practice is

classified as a rural health clinic.

The salary is competitive with a production incentive. Benefits include malpractice, life,

dental, health, and long term disability insurances. A $1500 stipend for professional

dues, state and national, specialty college dues, and licensure dues is paid. A 401(k)

Pension Plan is provided. Five weeks of vacation / CME time with a $2000 CME stipend

and reasonable relocation expenses are also included. Federal or State Educational Loan

repayment may be available dependant upon application approval.

It is a rural community located in central Michigan, 45 minutes North and

West of Lansing and 60 minutes North and East of Grand Rapids. Advanced education is

easily available from a number of colleges in close proximity to the city.
