Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs.

The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.

We are currently seeking a Lead Social Worker to join our team. The Lead Social Worker is a liaison to the Director of Social Services and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services within the Social Work Department.

The Lead Social Worker promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System.

This individual must demonstrate flexibility and the knowledge and skills required to manage units providing care to a varied population including adolescent and adult patients with a behavioral health and / or a dual diagnosis.

Qualifications Masters’ degree in Social Work preferred in counseling or healthcare related field. Minimum of 2 years prior experience working with a psychiatric behavioral health population.

Previous leadership experience desirable. Prior experience in providing group / individual therapy sessions. Prior experience working with behavioral health inpatient and adolescent population.

PA LCSW License preferred. Possess or working towards an LCSW license (or other related counseling or healthcare related license) is preferred.

License in accordance with state and / or national board standards of specific clinical field is also preferred. Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
