Title : Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location : Detroit, MI
Starting Pay : Up to 130k depending on experience
Sign on bonus : $2500 - $5000 (based on experience)
MUST have
- For Mid level or Sr positions PE preferred
- 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
- REVIT knowledge
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with : Design of building mechanical systems (HVAC) including appropriate system concepts, calculations, energy modeling, layout, sizing, selections, specifications and coordination
- Will be working on Commercial and Industrial projects
- Client Facing
- Will be hands on
- Travel will be 20% or less
Our client, one of the oldest and most prominent Architectural firms in the country, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support their projects and clients.
You'll have the opportunity to work on unique and excited projects from across the country.
You will be :
- Design of building mechanical systems (HVAC) including appropriate system concepts, calculations, energy modeling, layout, sizing, selections, specifications and coordination
- Perform site visits of existing mechanical systems for evaluation, or to inspect work in progress or completed
- Prepare engineering reports
- Review and respond to team members on project design work, RFIs, submittals, and other construction related documents and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor and control project progress against scope, schedule, and budget
- Attend client meetings and assist in marketing efforts
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or similar field
- 4+ years of experience designing building mechanical systems
- Experience with design of building mechanical systems for educational facilities is desired
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit / BIM with working knowledge of MS Office
- Proficiency with building energy modeling concepts and software preferred
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary project teams
- Knowledge of and demonstrated interest in energy efficient solutions and designs
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
