Telos Alliance has immediate opportunity for a VB.VET Software Engineer to join our Pathfinder development team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop software for new and existing embedded and virtual platforms and products for a global leader in audio broadcast technology.

The back-end code for this project is written primarily in VB.NET and / or C#, though more recent development is shifting towards Rust.

The front-end code is primarily Typescript / JavaScript and a bit of PHP. The ideal candidate will have a experience with C / C++ software development on Linux.

This is a 100% remote / work from home opportunity.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for developing critical system management and monitoring tools for large distributed systems.

  • Design implementations of protocol control systems some of which may be from third parties.
  • Design and implement user abstractions to develop simplified workflows to address disparate systems.
  • Ensure proper operation across multiple environments : Containers, Linux hardware, VM.
  • Work with support to identify, reproduce, and fix problems.
  • Help to develop better unit and functional testing infrastructures for the product.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with VB.NET and / or C#
  • Experience with C / C++ software development on Linux
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications, TCP / web sockets, inter-process communication
  • Proficient with JavaScript, TypeScript, and PHP languages

Preferred Skills :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Experience with git and issue tracker and management tools like Redmine or Atlassian
  • Knowledge of container-based deployment technologies (Docker, etc.)
  • Experience with Rust development a plus
